British Manufacturer for E-Liquids & CBD

A leading E-Liquid and CBD manufacturer in the UK.

Why should you choose Xyfil for your manufacturing needs? There are a lot of reasons why we make a great fit for those looking to start an E-Liquid or CBD brand. We’ve already helped hundreds of brands take their products to market, including several award-winning names (Pod Salt, Cali Greens and more) that continue be recognised by the industry.

Here are a few of the reasons why you should choose Xyfil for your manufacturing needs.

ISO & GMP certified

Xyfil is one of the very few British E-Liquid manufacturers that has not only been ISO 9001 certified, but GMP certified also. This is a massive step for us in showcasing our commitment to quality and safety.

ISO 9001 sets out the criteria for a quality management system and is a certified standard used by all good quality manufactures. This standard is based on several management principles used to ensure quality. These include: a strong customer focus, motivation, and involvement of top management, plus processes for continual improvement.

ISO 9001 certification ensures that companies provide customers with consistent, good quality products and services. As a manufacturing company, we at Xyfil are proud of our ISO 9001 accreditation as it shows we are consistently pushing to provide our customers with only the very best.

GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) is often used by many manufacturers as a guideline system for ensuring that products are consistently produced and controlled according to quality standards. It is designed to minimise risks involved in production that cannot be eliminated by testing the final product.

Most companies use this, but few are GMP certified. We have gone the extra mile to ensure that our customers can have the utmost peace of mind with us, and have been certified to GMP standards, showcasing our continued effort in providing the very best possible.

Quality assurance with full traceability

We ensure that your products are in safe hands whether they are manufactured here or delivered to us ready to be bottled and labelled. There are a variety of ways we do this following our ISO and GMP practices, but also through our full traceability process.

At Xyfil, we like to make sure that from start to finish, we have full accountability for every aspect. This includes supply chains and ingredients, to manufacturing and production work, all the way to the creative studio designs and eventual dispatch from our doors. Every step of the way is tracked so that should any errors occur, we can quickly and efficiently find the point of issue and correct it with as little impact on the product as possible.

Versatile toll manufacturing

Xyfil not only offers white label manufacturing and OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer), but we also operate as a Toll Manufacturer. This essentially means that at whatever point in the process you may require work, we are able to help. Not all who are in the market for a E-Liquid or CBD manufacturer in the UK require the full manufacturing process.

Some may only need the ability to bottle their products, or need the creative aspects such as logos, POS, packaging & labelling. There are some who are looking for help with regarding compliance testing of products to ensure they meet market regulations. No matter the scale of your products or business, no matter the step of manufacturing you are currently in, Xyfil can help.

Bottling

Already have a formulation ready for bottling, but don’t have the means to do so? We can offer our bottling services for any non-edible liquid including E-Liquids, CBD, hand sanitiser and more. With a wide range of bottle solutions that cover many of the industry standard sizes and shapes for E-Liquids, CBD and cosmetic products, there is a bottle/container for everything.

Creative studio

Work with us on your branding, product labels, product packaging and more. Our in-house creative studio is able to offer white label and OEM solutions for your brand. With experts in all things creative, we are able to effectively create stunning product & packaging designs, full media kits including web content, and POS for stores.

Compliance

Seeking regulatory compliance can be tricky and time-consuming, but we make it as simple as possible. Our in-house compliance team are here to help you make sure your products are market-specific and meet the trade licenses of the country you wish to sell in. This includes both E-Liquid and CBD. We are uniquely experienced in securing regulatory approval in the UK, EU and across many international markets including the Middle East.

Adaptable, capable, sustainable

In a market as ever-changing as the vaping industry, it is important to remain versatile and adaptable to changes. Vaping regulations often change around the globe with some having long-standing effects. To be able to remain present as a brand, under these situations can be daunting but it is something that we strive to work with. Whether it be flavour bans, limits on nicotine strength or E-Liquid capacities, Xyfil is capable of rectifying such changes.

Seen before in the application of the TPD regulations in the UK and EU, Xyfil was among the very first to update product lines to create compliant products that were immediately back on shelves for consumers.

Whether regulatory changes mean a flavour ban on all things other than tobacco, Xyfil offer a wide range of tobacco flavours in our white label packages, or new regulations on nicotine-containing products, we are able to adapt and are capable of meeting the new demands quickly and efficiently.

If you think that Xyfil would be a great fit for you, contact us today to find out exactly how we can help you.

Is it Profitable to Start a CBD Brand in 2022?

New CBD start-ups are hardly in short demand but doing it right and doing it well can be a different matter. Does this mean that you shouldn’t consider starting a CBD brand in 2022? Absolutely not! In fact, now is a great time to join the CBD market and we’ll tell you why.

The growth of the CBD market

Data has shown that the UK’s CBD market has blown well past the estimates previously thought. In 2021, the CBD market was worth £690 million, where only a few years ago it had previously been estimated to be worth £526 million by 2021. It’s now forecasted that the UK CBD market could reach £1 billion by 2025. Is there a reason for this surge?

There have been notions that the UK’s market worth has grown so well due to our evolved regulatory framework. Across the globe, most other countries where CBD is legal, do not have much or any regulation regarding CBD products. In this case the UK is leading the way with our regulatory framework that is working to ensure UK CBD products are both safe and good quality. As of March 2021, all CBD products in the UK must be filed for approval through the Foods Standards Agency (FSA).

One of the reasons why a lot of consumers are turning to CBD products now are due to the reported benefits for those with stress and anxiety. Although there is much research still underway to prove any sort of medical benefit, many believe that CBD can help them. And after the influx of stress and anxiety thanks to the recent pandemic and global lockdowns, people are looking for ways to help. It is important to note however that those who sell CBD in the UK cannot make any medical claims about their products unless they are regulated, medicinal products registered with the government.

What’s holding back CBD in the UK?

As mentioned, the lack of medical verification on the effects and benefits of CBD is one thing that does hinder the CBD market. Many of the studies and clinical trials were only able to begin after its legalisation in 2017. And while we wait for these results and further testing, many reputable companies are unable to express the benefits of their CBD products.

This leads onto the next issue; awareness and education. The lack of public education and awareness around CBD, especially on the legality and effects, has left a largely untapped market in the UK. Currently, younger demographics (between 18 and 30) are the most likely to use CBD. As the regulations change and more information becomes readily available for the public, we should see an even greater increase in market growth.

How to start your own CBD business

Starting now is the perfect time to create and establish your brand before the tidal wave of others that are sure to follow. Even if you only offer a limited range of products in the beginning, ensuring your presence in the CBD market will help you in the long run. Where do you begin then?

Sourcing your product

Possibly one of the most vital parts of establishing a CBD brand is sourcing your materials. Whether you’re looking to launch a CBD vape range, CBD topicals range, CBD oil drops or other product types, your CBD should be of the highest quality. Ensuring the hemp that your CBD is sourced from is organic and grown on regulated farms helps to establish your product’s quality. When it comes to health and wellness, customers are much more clued into the quality of products. With many articles across the web pushing for those who buy CBD products to check their ingredients, lab reports and more, transparency is key.

Organically grown hemp means that your products are more likely to be free of any harmful chemicals that could be present in pesticides – hemp is well-known for absorbing all nutrients from its environment. Many choose to source their hemp from farms in the US where most of the high-quality, high-grade hemp is grown. Now sourcing your own hemp can be costly and time-consuming, as well as the process of importing and processing into CBD oil. This is why many brands turn to wholesale CBD manufacturers like Xyfil.

Branding and target audience

There are already several CBD brands that have established themselves as market leaders, even in the early stages of this market. Because of this, newcomers will need to position their products with smart branding to truly stand out. Finding a demand that is currently not being met and targeting key types of customers will work to your advantage.

We know that the majority of those who are likely to use CBD are aged between 18 and 30. Do you want to create a brand that caters for the younger audience or young at heart? Thinking about the type of customer you want to reach, and their needs will help guide your brand.

Diversify your product range

When first starting out it’s probably a good idea to launch your key product that’s tailored towards the audience you wish to hit. That way it helps establish your brand and your products. Once your brand name and message are out there, diversifying your range allows for more opportunities to upsell and entice more customers. If you’re looking to upsell and increase customers’ order values, then creating products that are co-ordinating are the perfect next step. For example, CBD disposables could give way to CBD vape liquids or CBD shots that can be added to E-Liquids, all of which you can find in Xyfil’s repertoire.

White label manufacture or OEM?

When it comes to producing CBD products with a trusted CBD manufacturer like Xyfil, you often have a choice of white label manufacture or OEM. OEM allows for much more versatility with CBD products by creating recipes, product types and more that are completely your own.

However, for hitting markets quickly, white label manufacture is unrivalled. Especially in the current market where CBD products are only allowed on shelves after being registered and approved by the FSA. Therefore, using CBD products and formulas already registered like Xyfil’s CBD product list, helps to get on shelves quicker and with less cost overall.

Whatever you choose the CBD market in the UK is quickly growing and is a worthwhile investment to join. But to make the most of the CBD market, and with the regulations that are being established here, it is imperative to make sure your products are high quality. Xyfil is proud to be a leading CBD manufacturer in the UK with our high-grade CBD oil sourced from organic, regulated hemp farms in the US. Make the most of our award-winning CBD formulas and well-established products that have helped many brands already hit shelves in the UK.

Important Points for Making Your Product Designs Better

You’ve settled on your flavours and even possibly produced your batches of E-liquid already. But have you thought about the packaging? Sometimes the design of a product gets left until last resulting in hurriedly designed packaging and labels that can feel subpar in comparison to market leaders. But is it important to make sure your products have the best packaging and design?

Countless studies have shown that packaging has a superior influence on consumers, and can make a difference in acquiring and retaining customers for new products. Are your products receiving the attention they deserve? Here are our top tips for making sure that your product packaging is attractive and brings in the right attention.

Define your target audience

The first and most important step you should think about is your target audience. Who is your product for?

When it comes to vape products and E-Liquids, it's vitally important to make sure that your products are not targeted at younger audiences. One stigma that refuses to budge for vaping products is the claim that they are targeted toward underage audiences who shouldn’t be vaping. And it is safe to say there are some brands whose designs do lean towards those who are perhaps younger than 18. Making sure your products are not targeted toward younger audiences should be a priority.

Age isn’t just the only type of audience you should cater for; in fact, it can be more to do with the types of people and interests of potential consumers. For example, if you want to cater more towards the sort of vaper who enjoy parties, your design will be very different than if you were targeting vapers who enjoy chic and vintage products. Defining who you want to target will drive your design from the very start.

Using influences from other industries

Researching and referencing existing designs is a common practice by many industries and designers. Taking ideas from existing designs, and improving or tweaking them to create something new, is a great way to create attractive packaging that catches the eye. That’s not to say you should copy other designs, in fact, all this can do is potentially harm your own products which could be unfairly labelled as a lesser comparison. It’s important to understand influence as inspiration and not as a copy and paste. There are a lot of great designs already on the market but there will always be gaps between them that allow for new designs to rise alongside, and even overtake them.

Similarly, the vaping industry has a habit of falling into the stereotypes of ‘vaping design’. By using the same imagery and styles used by other typical vape brands may help your product become more easily recognisable for what it is but doesn’t help it stand out from a crowd. These sorts of designs also run the risk of appearing as child-appealing or cheap looking.

Instead, you can try using influences from other industries to create new, innovative designs for vape products. These could be designs for alcohol, beauty, food, travel and more. Many of these boast designs that don’t necessarily reflect their product literally, but the type of product/meaning consumers pay attention to. Some of the best designs for product packaging and logos are often simple, reflective of the brand and hold meaning.

Don’t be afraid to make something simple

Minimalism is a powerful way to make your brand stand apart from the rest. Especially in the vaping industry where designs can easily become overwhelmed with patterns, colours and graphics that swamp a product’s design. These may seem eye-catching but can often be too much to look at or vital information like flavour, brand name etc, can get lost.

With a minimal design it is much easier to single out important information, and especially clean designs that highlight a single focus, are much more eye-catching and can create a natural curiosity with a consumer. It should be enough to note that popular brands in a variety of industries are all looking at ways to make their logos more minimal. See for example the changes in designs from Amazon, Facebook, Starbucks, and Pringles to name a few.

Although many of these have stemmed from their brand awareness peaking, allowing them to simplify their designs, many are also aware that simple and minimal designs are much more digestible and memorable for consumers. A good practice would be to show someone your logo design and if, after a short period of time, they are able to recall your design quite clearly or at least the keynotes of it, then it’s a good logo design.

This also stems from the product labels and packaging. Overwhelming the vital product information with in-your-face graphics, patterns and colours can be a turn-off for many consumers. Your core product message can also get lost amid the graphical chaos. Simplicity doesn’t have to mean adding a logo and product information to a white background and calling it there (although this could be quite effective depending on the branding and logo). It means choosing what you want customers to know about your product and the first thing you want them to see that would draw them to your product.

Function vs form

It’s very important to understand the form and function of your product when designing packaging and labels. The form stands for the overall look and feel of the design from its font, graphical elements, texture and colour. The function is the practical element of the design that suits the purpose of the product. Form without function is merely pretty packaging, and function without form can’t achieve its goal. Establishing the purpose of your product, whether it be to offer impressive flavours, help smokers quit, or work best for sub-ohm vaping, will help lead your product designs form.

Considering finishing from the outset (what finishes you want)

Naturally most think of finishes as being the tail-end of the design process but in actual fact, it’s worth deciding on the finish of your product packaging from the beginning. Deciding on this can impact the actual design of your packaging and can make the finish feel more organic, rather than some fancy foiling tacked on at the end.

Exploring new finishes is also a great way of helping make your product stand out from the crowd. There is a wide variety of finishes from glossy to matt lamination, to soft-touch, textured and metalised foil, to UV varnish and even unique ones such as glow-in-the-dark lacquer ad thermal lacquer. Some of these may not suit the product type but introducing something different and unique looks more interesting than simple silver or gold foil.

Listen to your designers

Probably the most important aspect of the design process is to listen to your designers. Often it can be easy to have a picture in mind of how you think it should look, but rarely does the images in our mind translate well to reality. Designers are tasked with this venture and use their experience and expertise to try and translate your ideas to reality. Sometimes this may not match exactly with your original concept, but more than often these changes are purposeful. Make sure to communicate with your designers and listen to their reasoning behind the changes. The answers may surprise you!

Hopefully, this provides you with some food for thought on your next product launch, or perhaps if you’re thinking of refreshing your current product offers with new artwork. Whatever it is, Xyfil can help with our dedicated Studio team who have years of experience in helping brands develop their logos, labelling and packaging. Many award-winning brands have benefitted from our expertise, and you can too. Contact us to find out how we can help you.

Most Popular E-Liquid Flavours for 2022

The vaping market is often flooded with flavours, new variations of well-loved fruits, re-imaginings of flavours you thought you knew and inspired combinations that create new experiences. Last year the most popular flavour for vape juice was certainly raspberry, or blue raspberry to be precise. What’s not to love about the soft, sweet taste of raspberries or zingy blue raspberry?

Keep in the loop with the most in-demand flavours with us here at Xyfil.

This year’s in-demand flavour

It may come as no surprise that vapers are choosing to revisit beverage flavours this year. Maybe it’s the taste of nostalgia vapers are craving but soda/beverage E-Liquids are proving popular for 2022.

What’s great for brands is the variety of flavours available in the beverage section to choose from. The top two are certainly Cola and Lemonade, flavours that have been done before, but the introduction of flavours combined with these have taken the market by storm.

Flavours like Cola Lime and Pink Lemonade are dominating and it’s not hard to see why. These fun and fruity flavours can often be enjoyed all day long, as long as the sweetness is managed well. Creating the familiar fizzy taste is certainly a challenge for any flavour mixologist but making the flavours as accurate as possible is paramount. But you don’t have to stop just there with Cola Lime, there are a variety of flavours that compliment Cola perfectly and can be found in other places outside of the vaping market.

Have you thought about the next big Cola flavour? Perhaps the next flavour you should be creating Is Cola Cherry? Or perhaps Vanilla Cola for those looking to create a smoother taste? The possibilities are almost endless and Xyfil can help take you on that flavour journey.

Develop your next beverage E-Liquid with Xyfil

Our in-house mixologists create the flavours you want and vapers desire. We welcome the challenge to create new and never-seen-before flavours or impressive new twists on those familiar favourites that hook vapers from the first puff. With thousands of high-quality ingredients to create hundreds of flavours, every flavour we create is unique to each brand. We ensure that each flavour is somewhat unique in some way be it in sweetness, underlying flavours, strength and more.

How to Create a White Label Vape Brand 2022

With the vaping industry reaching $20.4 Billion globally in 2021, and it’s expected to reach $30 Billion by 2027, it’s still viable to make your place in the vaping market. Likewise, the CBD market in the UK sat at £700 million in 2021 with it expected to surpass one billion GBP by 2025. So, what better way to hit the ground running and get products to market quickly than with white label manufacture?

The difference between White Label and OEM

White label manufacture E-Liquids are products that have already been developed, tested, produced, and sold before. Here at Xyfil, we offer white label manufactured products across vape juice, CBD products and cosmetic products. White label products are a tried and tested method for brands to enter new markets easily, and affordably.

OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturing) is a much more tailormade process of creating E-Liquids, CBD and cosmetic products. OEM E-Liquids for example, are much more unique due to brands designation specific flavour combinations that won’t be seen elsewhere or benefit from unique bottles or formulas. This method of manufacture is more costly and takes more time but offers much more complexity and uniqueness to make products your own.

Why choose White Label manufacture

Brands that go through our white label manufacturing process benefit from our award-winning formulas and flavours. These products have already been developed carefully with our R&D team and produced using high-quality ingredients. They also benefit from being fully tested and compliant with TPD and Middle East regulations. This means that with just a little effort and decision making on your part, you can have products on the market in no time at all.

With all the fuss taken out of the process, white label manufactured E-Liquids is not only quick but cost-effective. And the work doesn’t stop there. We don’t just produce E-Liquids but provide every service you may need to get your product from bottle to shelf.

Popular CBD White Label Products Manufactured in the UK

Since 2017, CBD has seen an explosive increase in interest that has yet to slow down. This is possibly due to the legalisation of CBD in the US and UK, the largest markets for CBD, in 2018. Currently, the UK is the second-largest CBD market behind the US, with an industry worth of £700 million so far – and it’s forecasted to surpass one billion pounds by 2025. So, for those looking to join the CBD market, now is as good a time as ever. Creating your own CBD brand couldn’t be simpler when you manufacture with us here at Xyfil.

Preferred CBD products – the demand for CBD

In a recent study on CBD consumers in the UK, it was found that unsurprisingly the most preferred product type was CBD oil/drops followed by CBD vape and CBD pills/capsules.

[SOURCE: newfrontierdata.com]

CBD Oil is mostly used as sublingual drops that are easy to use and offer a longer release of CBD. Much of the CBD market is made up of CBD Oil so creating a CBD Oil brand can be very competitive. Similarly, CBD vape has grown in popularity due to the convenience of disposable vapes and the quick absorption of the CBD.

How to start a CBD brand in 2022

There are several key steps you need to explore when looking at starting a CBD brand. Firstly, identifying your CBD product type and the niche you can offer can be the make or break of your brand. With many brands looking to step up to the CBD industry, knowing how you can set your products apart is essential for becoming a household brand.

Research is key

Research current products on the market and see if there are possibly any gaps you can use. If you’ve got an innovative new idea on how to introduce CBD to customers, then identify if this is something consumers are looking for. Perhaps you want to hit the popular product types with a new spin that only you can offer?

At Xyfil we offer a wide range of popular CBD products such as CBD oil, CBD vape and CBD creams & lotions. But we can also offer capabilities for many more CBD products due to our versatile manufacturing that can help you create bespoke CBD products. With anything from bath bombs to sleep sprays and more, your CBD product idea can become a reality with Xyfil.

Understand regulations around CBD

Another key aspect is to understand the regulations around CBD. Although CBD in the UK is largely unregulated there are still some laws you should be aware of. For example, the hemp used to create CBD products cannot contain more than 0.2% THC. You also need to know CBD is categorised as a novel food group or vape product – CBD products in the UK cannot have medical claims attached to them. The laws in the UK and US differ slightly, and in the US, there are also different laws for each state. Deciding where you wish to market your CBD products will impact on which regulations you need to adhere to.

Ensure the quality and safety of your products

Lastly, ensuring your CBD brand is made from quality CBD is an important step to creating a premium brand that is both safe and effective. CBD manufacturers that use organically grown CBD from certified hemp farms, particularly in the US, offer the highest quality of CBD hemp on the market. Organically grown hemp is the cleanest available due to there being no pesticides used in the cultivation process – hemp plants are notorious for absorbing everything around them in the air and soil.

You also want to ensure that their CBD is sourced specifically from hemp plants and not marijuana ones (as these contain higher levels of THC). Reputable CBD manufacturers will also be able to provide certificates of analysis (COA) detailing the product content.

Xyfil sources CBD from certified organic hemp farms in Colorado which go through extraction to become CBD Isolate – the purest form of CBD. We are even able to go the extra mile to re-add the terpenes and flavonoids removed from CBD during extraction, to improve the quality of CBD and give users the complete entourage effect without THC.

Is it Profitable to Start a Vape Shop in 2022?

It’s fair to say that the vaping industry really is booming especially in the UK where vaping is positively approved by the government and health organisations. So, it’s no surprise if you’re looking to set up your own vape store and jump in on the action. With the industry continuing to grow there’s always room for more, but are there problems of oversaturation?

In some cities, it’s hard to not go more than 10 metres without seeing a vape shop. And let’s not forget that the pandemic has shaken the high street and retail as we know it – and not just retail but manufacturing has felt the burn of the pandemic. So, in 2022, is it still viable to open a vape shop and be profitable?

COVID’s effects on the high street

Many businesses are noticing that brick-and-mortar store traffic has decreased since 2020, and this is not limited to vape stores. Across the board, after the numerous lockdowns and worries of transmitting the virus, many stores have seen decreased footfall and unfortunately many have had to close due to this. However now, months after a very successful vaccine rollout some sort of normality seems to have returned and with it, shoppers have started to return to the high street.

Although it wouldn’t be pertinent to ignore the rise in online sales due to the pandemic. During COVID, online stores saw a massive boom in popularity and the new, convenient option that had become forced on people, has remained popular. But it’s not to say that brick-and-mortar stores are not viable anymore. On the contrary, there are many things a physical store can offer over online sites that are likely to have people walking in your store. And optimising for those reasons is certainly key to success.

The competitive market

The vaping market is probably one of the most competitive out there. Whether you’re looking to start your own brand or open your own retail store, there are undoubtedly many more like it, out there. Opening an online store is even worse due to the competition no longer being restricted to your area. Do you choose to open a shop in a city that already has ten vape shops, or a small village without a single one?

Launching into the vaping industry certainly has the potential to become a profitable one, but the road there could be long. And this industry often faces changes to regulations that could result in problems with products, stocking or selling. Yet navigating these issues are all part-and-parcel of the task of opening a business and turning profit. And the same can be said for those looking to create a new brand of E-Liquid to take to market. All it takes is finding what makes you or your product different and learning how to market it into something that creates profit.

How to start a vape store successfully

Here are some of the top ways that you can make sure that your vape store or brand take off successfully.

Complete market research

For your products and services to be well-received by consumers, you must know who your target consumers are and what it is they are looking for. Market research helps provide you with this essential information from your competitors and existing products. No one wants to launch a product that simply gets swept away by other similar ones. Finding your niche or targeting consumers’ un-fulfilled needs is key to success. Read more about the importance of market research.

Make things simpler & cost effective

Partner with an E-Liquid wholesale manufacturer such as Xyfil – we can provide high quality white label products to get on your shelves quicker, or OEM for tailor-made products. Not only this but you get access to our award-winning nicotine salts and high-quality ingredients. Our people become your people and our goal is to help you be the very best you can be. Don’t worry about having to source your materials, setting up a lab, testing and reporting of liquids, registering products for compliance – we sort it all for you. Whether it’s creating a new brand of looking for business insights, Xyfil are ready to help with over 10 years of experience in the vaping industry.

Get your branding right

We’re not just talking your shop name and logo, but also the layout of your store. Is there a particular feel you want to bring to your vape shop that sets it apart from others? Learning how to place products effectively around the store can naturally help a potential customer see products you want them to and entice them to buy. The creative studio here at Xyfil not only have years of experience in building brands, labelling, logos and POS material for products, but have also worked on designs for layouts within stores to help drive sales.

Sell quality, UK manufactured products – be compliant

It is vitally important that compliance be at the forefront of your thoughts when looking to purchase vaping products for your store. Although it might seem ideal to stock these ‘high demand’ products, many of them are illegal by UK guidelines. Recently there have been great shakeups within the high street to ensure that stores selling vape products not only stock only compliant products but adhere to the age restrictions for said products. Making sure to stick to the rules and regulations will mean you miss out on hefty fines or worse.

Products manufactured in the UK bring their own sense of quality and of course are TPD/TRPR compliant. Here at Xyfil we are proud to create premium UK manufactured E-Liquids that have gone on to win awards for our flavours and out nicotine salt formula.

But above all else, providing products that potential customers are looking for, and are in demand, is a way to ensure satisfaction. Listen to your customers for feedback and keep an eye on trends but don’t focus too much on short-lived trends that are likely to pass in a month – autumn inspired flavours aren’t likely to be popular once spring comes round!

Protecting Brand Equity – White Label Manufacture

Protecting your brand and recipe is of the utmost importance to us which is why we employ strict procedures to ensure your brand equity remains protected. We wish to instil the utmost confidence in our customers when handling their brands, to make sure that products are not only safe and high-quality but also secure.

How do we protect brand equity?

In an industry ruled by flavours, trying to create new and unique flavour E-Liquids and vape devices, or creating higher quality flavours, is key. The last thing you want after all your hard work of establishing your brand’s flavours is to lose them. To ensure that brands’ flavours remain protected we established a series of procedures.

When our lab receives the flavour profile for your E-Liquids, they gather the necessary ingredients to make the batch of vape juice. However, each flavour ingredient is given a codename. When is orange not orange? When you are protecting a brand’s equity! To ensure that recipes remain confidential, those that process and produce the E-Liquids only ever see the codename version of flavour ingredients. This allows us to have fewer eyes on the actual recipe.

Once the flavour has been developed, you can then sample the flavours with our Flavour Specialist. Tweak and update the flavours and strengths depending on what you want to achieve or get ready to bulk produce it – we’re with you every step of the way.

Protecting your brand name

Ensuring brand equity doesn’t just stop at your flavour recipes. Making sure that your brand name continues to promote consistent quality is another one of our priorities. Mistakes can not only be costly in raw materials but in name. That’s why we employ a huge range of quality control procedures at every step of the process. Thanks to our training solidified by our GMP and ISO certification, we can produce high-quality products in safe environments to ensure the safety of your products.

Throughout the flavour creation process, your E-liquids go through a series of quality checks before mixing, before lab testing and after batch testing. Every step of the way there are quality checks to ensure zero errors. Up until the products leave our door, we can offer full batch-tracing at every step so that if errors do occur, we are able to quickly and efficiently go back to the source and correct it.

Our production warehouse is fully equipped to allow us to fulfil your bottling, filling and labelling requirements, as well as flavour development and E-Liquid manufacture. As one of the leading UK E-Liquid manufacturers, we are also able to ensure that compliance, quality, and safety is achieved for every product we produce.

Flavour Production, Quality Testing & Nicotine Extraction

Providing high-quality products and services is at the core of our mission here at Xyfil. We are one of the leading E-Liquid manufacturers in the UK, providing E-Liquid manufacture opportunities and more.

One of the key areas of our business is our ISO 9001 and GMP certified laboratory, and ISO 7 clean rooms where much of the manufacturing of E-Liquids begin. Meet the people behind the award-winning nicotine salt solutions and custodians of product quality control.

Nikita Mhatre – Production Manager & Quality Assurance

“We have implemented a quality management system which helps the business with planning and execution of delivering a quality product. From a production perspective, this means a companywide commitment to eliminate errors at every stage of the product development process - from product design to manufacturing.  A recent acquisition of GMP accreditations have also boosted the credibility of the company and created a competitive edge in an increasingly crowded market. The implementation of GMP standards inline with current quality standards remains essential as it helps to ensure consistency, acceptability of product quality and safety of the products also remains integral.”

As production manager for our lab, I oversee the formulation of products and work to create an effective and efficient task force. This is ensured by planning and delegating work to meet daily production goals. Not only this but I run the procurement for lab items along with the key E-Liquid ingredients, ensuring only the highest quality of food-grade PG, VG and pharma-grade nicotine. Products are not released from the laboratory to the production lines until they’ve been past final quality checks. It’s an important task that helps ensure quality and safety.

By implementing root cause analysis and taking corrective actions, I have helped to remove production constraints and improve product quality since taking the post. Our laboratory staff see continuous improvement and training to ensure the quality of products that are processed. As part of managing my team, recruiting for new positions, and ensuring my staff have no issues and work in optimum conditions, is paramount.

What does the day-to-day look like for Xyfil’s lab?

I can honestly say every day is a new day. Days can differ depending on the products and formulations we are running for our customers. We have six talented lab technicians and two supervisors who run our lab work.

At the start of the day, lab technicians are given a recipe list that contains encrypted flavour names to protect customers’ recipes. Quality checks go underway immediately to check the quality of the gathered ingredients and equipment. To minimise on wastage of ingredients and nicotine formulations, we run QC checks with tight parameters. Many formulations can be re-used whilst still holding a premium quality, but should they fail QC checks then these are disposed of.

Every stage of the process, from weighing flavours to the mixing of the ingredients, is overseen by a supervisor to reduce any possible human error. All work is signed off to allow for full tracking of the product so that if an issue does arise, we can track back the work and amend it to reduce any impact that it could create.

Once the batch is produced, a sample can be gathered after being authorised by the supervisor, to go for testing. This checks for irregularities, impurities, nicotine strength, consistency and more. After all these checks and tests have been completed and signed off, the product can then move to production.

We are constantly looking to improve our processes to create even more streamlined methods. Already we’ve seen improvements thanks to GMP standards and our hard work to achieve GMP certification. Having been able to increase our production capacity is a clear sign of our dedication to continual improvement.

E-Liquid suppliers with award-winning nicotine salts

There are two meaens of production that we provide with our laboratory facilities.

We provide bulk production services for white label E-Liquid manufacture. This includes us gathering the E-Liquid ingredients and flavourings to the spec of the customer’s recipe, producing the E-Liquids and flavours, and packaging these for our customers.

Our lab also offers a blending process for white label E-Liquids. This process relies on pre-existing formulations that we have developed and produced that are ready to go straight into production for customers’ products.

Due to the unique versatility of our lab facilities, we also offer ad-hoc requests for a variety of products, tailored to your needs. If you have an idea for a new nicotine-based or CBD product we can surely help. Apart from our white label capabilities, we offer bespoke solutions for product manufacture and development.

With our extensive resources and renowned nicotine salts formula, we are even able to offer the bulk dispatch of flavour ingredients and pre-mixed, finished nic salts for customers to use with their own formulations. Our aim is to help you create award-winning E-Liquid brands and flavours.

Ensuring premium quality E-Liquids and CBD

At Xyfil when we say premium quality, we mean it. I am proud to say that we are among the first E-Liquid manufacturers in the country to be certified to GMP standards, with ISO 22716:2007 certification recently having been reached.

One of the ways we continue to pride ourselves in our premium E-Liquids is through our method for nicotine extraction. Our laboratory boasts an HSE verified nicotine enclosed system for nicotine extraction, to ensure that staff are protected during the process and that the quality of nicotine is without impurities. Much like this, at every stage of the process in the lab, we run tight quality control checks that are repeatedly checked by supervisors to complete thorough analyses.

For example, before an E-Liquid formulation can be assembled, all ingredients and tools must be gathered and double-checked to ensure their quality and efficiency. Only after these pre-checks are fulfilled can the formulation be put together. Mixed flavours and batches are first checked for any impurities or issues before being sent for testing and analysis. Only after passing these initial checks can batches be sent for testing, and upon passing all criteria, then be sent onto production lines for bottling.

Overall, I’m proud of the team I have created and the lab I have helped flourish into one of the many necessary hearts of the business. If there was one thing I would say to any potential customer looking to have us manufacture their E-Liquids, it would be that you will never be disappointed. I look forward to working with you in the future.
